# Privacy policy

What this site collects, why, and how you stay in control.

## Who is responsible

This is a personal website run by Vitor Diricio, an individual and the controller of the data described here. For anything about your data, use the contact form or message me on LinkedIn.

## Contact form

When you send the form, I receive your name, email, phone (if given) and your message. I only use them to reply to you.

The message reaches me by email, sent through Resend, and stays in my inbox for as long as the conversation needs. Nothing is stored in a database. A notice without any personal data is pushed to my phone through ntfy.

If you prefer WhatsApp, the conversation happens in the app, under WhatsApp's (Meta's) privacy terms, and stays on my phone for as long as needed.

Legal basis: steps taken at your request and legitimate interest in replying (LGPD art. 7, V and IX; GDPR art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).

## Cookie-free statistics

Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights measure the site's usage and performance with aggregated, anonymous data: page visited, referring site, country, browser, operating system, device type and load times. They use no cookies and don't identify you.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site (LGPD art. 7, IX; GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).

## Google Analytics, only with your consent

Google Analytics only loads if you click Accept on the cookie notice. It sets the _ga and _ga_<ID> cookies, which last up to 2 years, and records pages visited, visit length, traffic source, device and approximate location. Advertising features and Google Signals are turned off.

You can change your mind at any time under Cookie preferences, in the footer. If you decline, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted.

Legal basis: your consent (LGPD art. 7, I; GDPR art. 6(1)(a)).

## Hosting and security

The site is hosted on Vercel, which logs technical data about each request, such as IP address and browser, for a short period, for security and to run the service.

## Storage in your browser

Your answer to the cookie notice is saved in your browser's local storage (localStorage), not in a cookie, just so I don't ask again.

## International transfers

Vercel, Resend and Google process data on servers outside Brazil and the EU, mainly in the United States, under the contractual clauses and safeguards those providers offer (LGPD art. 33; GDPR chapter V).

## Your rights

Under the LGPD, and the GDPR if you're in the European Union, you can:

- confirm whether I process your data and access it
- correct incomplete or outdated data
- ask for your data to be deleted
- withdraw your consent at any time
- know who your data is shared with

## How to exercise them

Use the contact form or message me on LinkedIn; I'll reply within 15 days. You can also complain to Brazil's data protection authority (ANPD) or, in the EU, to your local supervisory authority.

## What I don't do

I don't sell your data, don't share it for advertising and don't use it for automated decisions.

## Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated.
